Since childhood, the scent of grape must during the harvest and the warmth of the Sicilian sun in Vittoria, a town in the province of Ragusa, have been an indelible memory.
Our father, Giusto Occhipinti, one of the pioneers of natural wine in Sicily, instilled in us respect for the land, patience in winemaking, love for our land, and the value of hard work.
Yet, as we grew older, we felt a different calling. COS is a point of reference, but we wanted to write our own story, out of a desire to explore a new language of wine.
We felt that wine should also be our story, our vision.
The first red arrived in 2022:
the Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico.
Sicily’s most prestigious DOCG appellation. It is our most representative wine, to which we also entrust our image.
In 2023, we added a second red and a white: Sabbie Rosse and Calcis. Both are from native grape varieties and fermented, like all our wines, with indigenous yeasts. We bottled them with trembling hands, knowing that our entire history was inside.

Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico is Sicily’s only DOCG.
A historic wine born from the blend of two great grape varieties: Frappato di Vittoria and Nero d’Avola.
The vineyards from which our Cerasuolo comes are located on calcareous, clayey soils with a good presence of silica sand, which favor drainage and uniform ripening of the grapes.
The mineral-rich soils helped develop the aromatic complexity of the wine.

Sandy red soils; this terrain is composed of a very fine sandy fraction with a reduced clay component.
The characteristic color is derived from the concentration of iron oxides.
These soils are well-draining, preventing water stagnation and forcing the vines to take root deep underground in search of nutrients, which contributes to the structure and elegance of the wines.

In Latin it means limestone. Beneath the soil layer is a calcareous component that provides essential minerals and helps regulate the soil’s pH.
Limestone has the ability to retain moisture, a crucial factor during periods of summer drought.
All this gives Vittoria wines a balance between structure and freshness, with fine tannins and good acidity.
This terroir, shaped by millennia of geological evolution, continues to be the beating heart of the quality of its wines.
We are located in Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, where the landscape gently slopes from the Iblei Mountains to the Mediterranean.
The climate is a dream, with shades of red, ochre, and yellow. A land rich in history, architecture, and lush vegetation: olive groves, carob groves, almond groves, and vineyards.
